We are living in a time where capturing stories and truth is more important than ever. With book banning and rights in jeopardy, this urgency is clear. Sankofa, a West African term, underscores the importance of reflecting on the past to shape a brighter future, and my film ERASE embodies this concept. It tells a story of resilience, empowerment, community, and the importance of protecting our history before it is erased forever.
Hello! My name is Neema Helen. I am a storyteller, change maker, and documentarian. The short documentary film that I am currently raising funds for, ERASE, started as a graduation requirement but has grown far beyond that, touching many lives in its first year. Even a year after graduating, I have continued to nurture and develop this film, and I am now excited to share it with the world. But I need your help!
Submitting to festivals is costly, and funds are quickly depleted. This GoFundMe campaign aims to offset some of these distribution costs. Please donate whatever you can; even a few dollars will bring me closer to my goal. I sincerely appreciate your support!
All who donate over 100 dollars will receive an exclusive invitation to a private online screening of the film!
If you're unable to contribute financially but would like to follow the film's journey, please connect with me on Instagram @erasethefilm. Thank you!
